I live and hunt around Abilene, TX and there is hardly a day that goes by that I don't think of hunting. I started deer hunting with my dad and papa when I was 5 years old. I hunted with just a rifle until about ten years ago when I picked up bow hunting. Still to this day I love both rifle and bow hunting the same. My first bow kill was a Corsican ram and my second was a hog.
I have been hunting hogs for 9 years and still love it like I did when I first started. My largest hog to date weighed just over 300 lbs. and I have harvested several in the 200 lb. range as well. I love hog hunting so much because you can do it all year long and take as many as you want. Most of my hunting experince has come from hunting all over West TX for deer, hogs and Javelina. I love hunting so much I went to Central Texas School of Taxidermy to learn how to mount gameheads. I have been a taxidermist for 8 years now and I have mounted hundreds of game since. Life's short so work hard but play even harder!!!!!!

I am an avid bow hunter. However, I would classify myself more as a hunting guide than a hunter. Nothing excites me more than putting someone within bow hunting range of an animal on foot and sharing that experience with them. My passion is more for the game we hunt, the pursuit, and the entire outdoor experience. I love my outdoor life that God has so blessed me to lead. I have been fortunate enough to have hunted and fished my entire life.
I am married to my college sweetheart Cara, we have a daughter Caraline and a son Quannah.
I am a hunting guide and partner of the Langley Ranch in Centerville, Texas. When I’m not guiding hunts, you’ll find me hunting in South Texas or fly fishing in Colorado. However, my favorite hunting of all is each fall when I venture up to Durango, Colorado with my dad for big elk and trophy mule deer.Shane Ladewig
My love for hunting began when I was very, very young. My Dad began taking me hunting with him when I was just six months old, and he continued taking me with him all throughout my childhood. Some of my fondest memories, and simple life lessons were made and came from sitting with him in a 4'x4' box blind during deer season. My Dad and I still love to hunt together. We have both become hog hunters over the past several years.
Today I live and work on my Family's cattle ranch near Forestburg, Texas. I am an avid hog hunter, and love to deer hunt as well. In the past several years I have began bow hunting, and that has opened up a whole new world of hunting for me. I love getting close to the game I pursue. I also have taken on the challenge of filming all of my hunts. I can not imagine not having a camera in the woods with me. I get a thrill out of sharing my hunting experiences with the world.
My largest hog to date weighed close to 400 pounds, and I have taken several close to 300 pounds. I do a lot of hog hunting at night and enjoy the many challenges hog hunting provides.
I am very blessed to have a wonderful wife, Andrea (Bowgal), who really enjoys hunting and the outdoors. We have two beautiful girls, Reagan 4, and Logan 2. I am planning on taking them hunting with me when they get older and creating lifelong memories with them, just like my Dad did with me.
It is an honor and a privileged to join the other members of the Pro Staff Team!!!

I live in a northern Suburb ob Baton Rouge La. I love all kinds of hunting but bow hunting is my passion. I have hunted much of the world including Africa, Argentina, Canada and Mexico. The game I have taken includes deer, mule deer, hogs, javelina, wart hog, moose, gems buck, kudu, Jackal, bobcat, feral sheep, water buffalo, giraffe, and any number of small game animals and birds.
As for hogs I have taken them with guns, black powder, bows and knives. I now have a cross bow and hope to perforate some with it soon. When given a choice and the sizes are similar I prefer to shoot the more natural brown or black hogs as opposed to the white or multi colored hogs.
I am an official scorer for the Weiser weight and tusk system of scoring hogs. My to best hogs weighed 235 and 271 pounds. I wish you all good luck in your hunting adventures. Be careful and shoot straight and let me know what I can do to help......

Well I started hunting before I could walk. I would sit in the blind with my granddad in my diapers. When I got a little older I was his gun boy while squirrel hunting. I naturally started shooting very young. I first picked a bow up at a very young age and was shooting rabbits or anything else I could put on a grill. I have hunted with all kinds of different weapons, but always come back to my bow. I have hunted all over the country. I now hunt in Kinney county Texas on 5000 acres.
I also do hog population control in Hays, Comal, Kerr, and a few other counties. I am a member of the Lone Star Bow Hunters Association where I help with youth archery events all over Texas. I am a on the HawgLite pro staff also a member of the National Rifle Association and of the Texas State Rifle association. I have been married for 18 years. I have a daughter that is 13 and a son that is 10. They both hunt with me. My son shoots a bow and is looking forward to shooting a hog with it real soon.

I am an avid archer. I love chasing big whitetails from Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada to Wisconsin, (my home state), and down to Texas. I have hunted for most of my life from coast to coast and until the last few yrs, it has been with a bow until I tried Blackpowder, which is now my second favorite weapon. I love the outdoors and have the utmost respect for the animals I pursue. I am a Life Member of both the NAHC and the RMEF and am a member of the NRA.
Hog hunting has been a way for me to stay in practice during the off seasons and keep myself and friends stocked up on fresh meat. My largest to date is 357 lbs.
I am married to a wonderful woman, Sue,(MRSTXBHUNTER), who now hunts with me and have a 4 yr old son, David James, and a stepdaughter, Erica. We reside in Tomball,Tx. just north of Houston. If you are ever down this way, give us a call and we'll get together.
