Abilene Hunting Posted: Jun. 15, 2010 - 1 comment(s) [ Comment ] - 0 trackback(s) [ Trackback ] Gonna be down in Ablilene end of this month into July and I would like to hook up with some local hog hunters.  I've been dying to try hunting them for a few years, but don't know any locals I could hang with who could show me the ropes and maybe share thier hunting spots.  Although I am still trying to locate my own, without paying an arm and leg for just a couple days, because I know there will be lot's of other expenses for an out-of-state type.  My wife's relatives aren't much help, because they aren't hunters.  It's always better hanging out with local blood rather than some guy your paying to hunt his ranch.  Besides I have met a couple guys down there who get paid to hunt hogs on farm land, so why should I put out big bucks to do it.  It may come down to that, but I'm not ready to do it that way yet.  Maybe I could return the favor if you come to my place in VA some time.  I mostly hunt whitetail here, but I do live close to beaches.
